A reliable partner and back-up for your marketing campaign, the Color LaserJet CP2025dn equips you to produce top-quality business documents in a variety of formats. And by business documents, we don’t just mean letters or mailers but attractive full-color newsletters, brochures, flyers, postcards, or booklets.
While this model is not much of a looker itself compared to its other sleek sisters – it comes in functional two-tone grey – the HP Color LaserJet CP2025dn instead packs the aesthetics into its performance. This printer does justice to any graphic-arts spread, giving top-notch performance output in halftones, trapping and color matching.
Focused more on function than form, the Color LaserJet CP2025dn comes with a 250-sheet paper tray, with a pull-out slot that can hold up to 50 sheets and a receiver tray with a carrying capacity of 125 pages.
Its LCD control panel is rather small, displaying only 16 characters on two lines. This may or may not pose some problems, but mostly depending upon proper angle of lighting in the spot where you set the machine.
It’s a minor problem, though, easily compensated for by its fast and trouble-free printing performance. After you’ve loaded the paper tray and set the commands for printing, you can leave the Color LaserJet CP2025dn to go about its work smoothly – no misfeeds, dropouts or paper jams. That represents a lot of saved time and paper, and personal aggravation.
And how much time does it take? Independent tests recorded 31 seconds to print an 8.5″x11″ photo and 23.6 seconds to churn out a double-sided text and graphics three-fold brochure. The Color LaserJet CP2025dn can also handle a 20-page text only document in 1 minute and 13 seconds.
This speed is at par with most color lasers in its league and certainly faster than even the more advanced models of inkjets.
And, we’ve noticed, all these without sacrificing print quality, even on special papers with glossy, textured or mottled finish. With the 600 dpi HP CP2025dn, text and graphics are crisp and sharp and colors are well-defined and even. Photo images tend to be a shade dark, however, but this seems to be a problem with most of the other color laser printers just as well.
This printer may not be what you need, though, if you’re looking for high-volume service because the HP CP2025dn can promise only 750 to 2,000 pages per month, and per copy cost comes up rather high.
But for your small business immediate printing and publishing requirements, consider this model a secret weapon in your personal marketing arsenal.
